CINCINNATI (FOX19) – The Kroger Co. is joining the list that is growing of attempting to sell CBD items.
The grocery that is cincinnati-based string will start attempting to sell topical items like creams, balms, oils and ointments in 17 states, The Detroit Information reports.

“Like many stores, we have been offering our clients a highly-curated collection of topical items like creams, balms, natural oils and ointments which can be infused with hemp-derived CBD,” Erin Rolfes with Kroger’s Cincinnati unit stated. “CBD is a naturally-occurring and non-intoxicating element that has promising advantages and it is allowed within federal and state laws. Our selection that is limited of CBD topical items is from vendors which have been evaluated for quality and security. “
The U.S. Agricultural Department regulates hemp that is industrial, but the Food and Drug management nevertheless will not recognize CBD as a ‘safe’ ingredient, the Detroit Information says.
