JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It checks out just like a renter’s nightmare: Infested with rodents, dripping roof and stoves that don’t work.
During the period of 2 days in belated February, town inspectors discovered significantly more than a dozen devices at Downtown East flats that were lacking smoke detectors, multiple devices infested with rodents and roaches, and lots of devices with damaged ceilings as a result of leaks from either a damaged roof or perhaps a plumbing work drip through the floor above.
Within one device, inspectors noted the system that is electric “improperly wired” within the home.
Altogether, employees with City of Jacksonville Code Enforcement launched 40 cases and reported 238 violations at Downtown East Apartments.
The complex, formally referred to as Franklin Arms, is owned by Flknarrs LLC. Business documents reveal the business is dependent away from Austin, Texas.
It is perhaps perhaps perhaps not the very first time they’ve been into the news or inspected by the city’s rule enforcement.
In 2018, News4Jax digital cameras recorded as close to a dozen town inspectors turned up to Franklin Arms. The dog owner anonymously told reporter Erik Avanier the complaint that triggered the examination had been from a disgruntled property manager that is former.
